Details
This 36" jumper is intended for use with one 3-wire* SoundOff Signal perimeter light installed at the side mirror, typically with a vehicle-specific bracket for that location. At time of writing, this includes the 3-wire versions of 3" and 4" mPower lights.
This item includes one jumper. Typically these are used for side mirror, so be advised when ordering that these are sold singly, not in pairs.
To install in the target vehicle, use your OEM service information provider to identify wiring in the factory harnesses to the mirror area. We have used this in a variety of vehicles including PIU, F-150, Tahoe, and more.
For the PIU, we recommend using the install procedure documented in the reference guide for the FT-F01-SOB5 platform. This way, whether you use these harnesses with the rest of the FasTech system or without (instead using your own harness to the false pedal area), you will not have to run wires through the door hinge wiring boot. Just cut the wires short, depending on your judgment. 12" should be more than enough to reach and connect to the OEM mirror harness inside the door panel.
* The FasTech platform for SoundOff Signal 500-Series Control System has adopted the paradigm of data-driven perimeter lighting. This technology has been tested in numerous fleets, though is not officially supported by SoundOff Signal. Please contact us if you need assistance configuring your perimeter lights.
