This resistor-bearing plug is used with Gen 1 fuse panels instead of the pass-through loop plug to significantly reduce siren volume for health or other reasons when testing equipment during the install process. Swap this in, test your system, and then replace the wire loop plug to restore full functionality.

The 560-ohm resistor will reduce a the power draw of a 100-watt speaker to approximately 1/4 watt.
